LOWER EAST SIDE — A thief stole $7,200 worth of electronics after breaking into a locked office trailer at the Baruch Houses last week, police said.

The burglar took four Dell laptops worth $4,800, two Canon digital cameras worth $1,500 and one unopened Dell desktop computer after forcing one of the trailer’s doors open sometime between 9:30 p.m. on June 30, when a project manager locked the office, and 7:45 a.m. the next day, according to the NYPD.

Police said the trailer was located in a locked, fenced-in area behind 90 Baruch Drive, which was still secured when workers arrived on July 1. The trailer’s other door also remained locked and undisturbed, police said.

The company using the trailer, STV Inc. — which offers engineering, architectural, planning environmental and construction management services, according to its website — did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
