HARLEM — Memorial services for the aspiring chef shot dead in the Polo Grounds Houses will take place Friday.

Jordan Barber’s wake will be held at Benta’s Funeral Home on West 141st Street from 3 - 6 p.m., with the funeral to follow, Barber’s mother, Lashanda Holman, told DNAinfo New York.

Barber, 18, was shot dead June 29 as he and two friends stood outside 2931 Frederick Douglass Blvd. about 10:45 p.m., police said.

Investigators initially said the gunman was believed to be from the nearby St. Nicholas Houses, but police sources said last week he may instead be from an East Harlem-based crew.

No arrests have been made.
