BUSHWICK — A man pepper sprayed a Bushwick resident in an attempted robbery last Tuesday, police said.

Two men went up to an apartment door in a building near Evergreen Avenue and Willoughby Avenue and pepper sprayed a 39-year-old man when he opened the door at 11:48 a.m. on June 30, police said.

They then went inside the apartment and assaulted the victim, police said.

When the suspects realized that other people, other than the victim, were inside the apartment, they fled without taking any property, police said.

Police are seeking information about the suspects who were captured in surveillance video footage.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-577-8477 or on their website.
