LOWER EAST SIDE — A woman was kicked and punched in a fight so “violent and tumultuous” it began to draw a crowd, police said.
Police said a 33-year-old woman, and three other individuals attacked the 31-year-old victim in front of Sons of Essex, at 133 Essex St., at 6:05 p.m. on June 27.
According to a criminal complaint from the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, the woman punched the victim in the stomach and kicked her legs multiple times, causing redness and swelling in her abdomen, a cut on her leg and substantial pain.
The 33-year-old woman was arrested and charged with assault, attempted assault and harassment at her arraignment and released without bail, according to the district attorney's office.
The three other attackers were not arrested, police said.
Sons of Essex did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Update: The charges in the case were dropped, according to court records.
