QUEENS — A Woodside woman fought off a would-be rapist who attacked her after following her into her apartment building, police said.

Larry Williams, 24, trailed the 28-year-old woman into her apartment building and up to her apartment door, where he attacked her about 9:15 a.m. on June 25, NYPD officials said.

He was arrested six days later.

Police did not provide cross streets for the assault.

The victim fought Williams off, managed to slip into her home and lock the door, police said. He tried to force the door open but was unsuccessful, police said.

Williams, of Bedford-Stuyvesant, fled the scene but was arrested Thursday, police said.

He faces charges of attempted rape, burglary, sex abuse and forcible touching, officials said.
