LONGWOOD — More than 100 firefighters battled a fire in a Westchester Avenue store Friday morning, officials said.

Flames broke out inside the first floor commercial establishment in 1212 Westchester Ave., near Bryant Avenue, about 6:26 a.m., an FDNY spokesman said.

About 106 firefighters brought the blaze under control just after 8 a.m., an FDNY spokesman said.

Three people were evaluated for injuries at the scene but refused medical attention, officials said.

One person was taken to Bronx-Lebanon Hospital, but their condition was not immediately clear, officials said.

Fire marshals were investigating what sparked the blaze, FDNY officials said.
