WILLIAMSBURG — A man stole two credit cards and an iPhone out of an unlocked car in Williamsburg earlier this month, according to the NYPD.

The man took the cards and smartphone out of a Honda parked on Richardson Street near Kingsland Avenue on June 7 at about 5:15 p.m., an NYPD spokesman said.

He then fled into the nearby Cooper Houses at 280 Frost St., where he was seen on video taking an elevator to the seventh floor.

It was not immediately clear if the man tried to purchase anything with either of the credit cards, the spokesman added.

The suspect is about 5-foot-8-inches tall and 180 pounds. He was wearing headphones, a white t-shirt, tan pant and white sneakers, police said.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).  You also submit tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
