BUSHWICK — A group of 10 men stole nearly $2,000 worth of LeBron James, Charles Barkley and Kobe Bryant branded sneakers and clothing from a Bushwick Foot Locker this month, police and the store said.

The men entered the Foot Locker at 767 Broadway on Tuesday, June 9 around 11:50 a.m., and some of them asked to try on sneakers, police said.

Employee Jabi Barnswell said he was working at the time and went to fetch sizes for shoes, including LeBron James Nikes, Charles Barkley Nikes, Kobe 9 shoes and Nike Foamposites.

Barnswell then noticed that some of the men had grabbed Nike Kevin Durant and LeBron James backpacks and were stuffing them with socks and shorts, Barnswell said.

When Barnswell confronted them, they ran out of the store — some with loose shoes still in their hands, he said.

The men, who looked like they were ages 17 to 24, took nearly $2,000 worth of property, Barnswell said.

Police released images of six of the suspects and are investigating the incident.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477) or through their website.
