Cake Company Burglarized in Long Island City, Police Say

LONG ISLAND CITY — Police are looking for a man who burglarized a cake company outpost in Queens last week, making off with laptops and tools, according to the NYPD.

The suspect entered Lady M Confections at 9-08 43rd Rd. a about 3:30 a.m. on June 15, where he stole two laptops and a tool box, police said.

The company, which sells handmade cakes and has boutiques in Los Angeles and on the Upper East Side, did not immediately return a call seeking comment. It's unclear from its website what the Long Island City location is used for.

The suspect, who was captured on surveillance footage, is described as being between 30-40 years old, standing 5-feet-10 and weighing 180 pounds, according to police. He was seen wearing a baseball hat.
