CARROLL GARDENS — More than $2,000 worth of Apple products were stolen from a Carroll Gardens home on President Street, police said.

The victim, a 39-year-old man, left for work at roughly 7 a.m. on June 12 and returned at 5:30 p.m. to find his bedroom had been rummaged through, according to the police report.

An iPod and an $1,800 MacBook laptop were missing from the room, police said.

While iPods are typically priced between $50 to $299 for the "Touch," "Nano" and "Shuffle" models, the stolen iPod was valued at $800, according to the police report.

Other notable crimes in the precinct include:

► An unknown man broke into the mail room of a residential building on the 200-block of Huntington Street on Saturday, and opened three packages that did not belong to him, police said. The man fled the scene but did not take anything with him.
