UPPER WEST SIDE — A man is wanted for breaking into an office building and a longtime shoe store on the West Side of Manhattan and stealing laptops, police said.

The man burglarized an office in Hell's Kitchen in late March and in late April forced his way into Tip Top Shoes on West 72nd Street, police said.

In both cases, the suspect was able to gain entry through locked doors and then steal a laptop he found unattended, police said.

The thief forcibly entered the 75-year-old shoe store Tip Top Shoes at 155 West 72nd St. on April 25 at 10:47 a.m. and left with a stolen laptop, police said.

Tip Top Shoes did not immediately respond to request for comment.

On March 27, the suspect gained entry to an office on the second floor of 311 West 43rd St. and stole a laptop at around 8:25 a.m.

The office could not be reached for comment.

The suspect was dressed in black and carrying a messenger bag in the April 25 incident, according to a video released by police.
