CROWN HEIGHTS — A man swiped packages filled with baby shoes, dog treats and sneakers from the lobby of a Crown Heights apartment building, police said.

A 49-year-old man snatched several boxes that were stored in the lobby of 921 Washington Ave. near Montgomery Street at roughly 7 p.m. on May 28, officials said.

The packages, which were stacked near the building's mailboxes, contained an array of online purchases, including T-shirts, sandals, hair conditioner, baby booties, dog treats, sneakers, a backpack and a dress.

The haul was valued at $710.

The thief was arrested after someone in the building called police. All items were recovered and returned to the owners, police said.
