CHELSEA — Chelsea's Down to Earth Farmers Market will open for the season this weekend.

The market at West 23rd Street and Ninth Avenue will launch for the season on June 6, bringing fresh, local produce to the neighborhood every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. until December 19.

"All of the vendors are local farmers and food makers, meaning they travel to market and back within the day," the organizers said in a statement.

Stalls include Alex's Tomato Farm, American Pride Seafood, Meredith's Country Bakery, and Roots to River Farm.

The market will run every Saturday until December 19.
