TOMPKINSVILLE — An unidentified woman was found dead behind a Staten Island supermarket on Saturday morning, police said.
Police found the woman at about 7:10 a.m. on Saturday laying face-up behind 425 Bay St., home of Western Beef Supermarket, police said.
EMS responded to the scene and pronounced the woman dead, police said.
Police did not have the age or identification of the woman and the Medical Examiner is working to determine the cause of death, police said.
