Boy Gang Assaulted and Robbed in East New York, Police Say

BROOKLYN — A 14-year-old boy was attacked by an East New York gang, punched in the face and mugged of his Android cellphone and wallet, police said.

The attack happened on May 11 around 9 p.m. near the intersection of Van Sinderen Avenue and New Lots Avenue, according to police.

The boy was taken to Brookdale Hospital and treated for minor injuries, then released, police said. 

Two of the suspects were caught on surveillance camera footage as they fled the scene, the NYPD said.
