MANHATTAN — A thief stole a Timex watch from a man during a strong-arm robbery in the Ramble in Central Park early Wednesday, police said.

The man robbed the victim, whose identity was not immediately released, in the park minutes before 1 a.m., an NYPD spokesman said.

The thief fled the scene and had not been arrested as of Wednesday morning, police said.

An NYPD spokesman said he didn't know what the suspect looked like or how much the watch was worth.

The nearly 200-year-old bargain watch company sells timepieces worth anywhere from $20 to $236, according to its website.
