QUEENS — Partial service returned to the 7 and N trains Monday afternoon following signal problems at Grand Central and Queensboro Plaza that halted trains between Manhattan and Queens for several hours, the MTA said.
The problems began around 11:00 a.m. and affected the 7, N and Q lines, the MTA said.
By 4 p.m., 7 trains were running again, but with residual delays and no express trains, the MTA said.
Also by 4 p.m., some N trains had returned to normal service, while others were terminating at Queensboro Plaza.
Q train service was still suspended between 57th Street and Astoria-Ditmars Boulevard, according to the MTA.
