MANHATTAN — Maybe he was worried about getting a bad aura?

A man stole a flower-shaped crystal from an Upper East Side mineral store Monday and then mysteriously returned it about five hours later, according to the NYPD.

The man walked into Mardani Fine Minerals on Madison Avenue near 66th Street at about 9:30 a.m. on April 27 and took a selenite “Desert Rose” and then drove off in a gold-colored Ford Explorer, police said.

Then about five hours later the man came back to the store and returned the rosette-shaped, sand-colored mineral.

The man is about 5 feet, 7 inches tall and 200 pounds. When he took the mineral he was wearing a blue hoodie, blue sweatpants and blue hat, according to the NYPD.

Then when he returned he was wearing a gray hoodie, blue jeans and white sneakers.
