Trio Swiped Cash from Stores in Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens, Police Say

NEW YORK CITY — Three men broke into 17 stores in Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan between January and April, making out with cash and safes, police said.

The suspects clipped locks from the roll-down gates at most of the shops and in three cases didn't take anything inside, police said.

The most recent burglary was on April 1 when the trio broke into the N&K Smart Mart, at 79-23 Northern Blvd. in Woodside, at roughly 2:50 a.m. and stole $5,500 in cash from inside, police said.

The burglary spree started on Jan. 22, when the suspects broke into the Good Market, 61-05 39 Ave. in Woodside, at roughly 4:52 a.m., police said. They took 25 cartons of Marlboro cigarettes, $300 cash and a safe with $4,000 inside, police said.

The other incidents reported to police were:

► The suspects took $6,526 in cash from Cigar Hookah Inc., at 65 W. 14th St. in the West Village between 11 p.m. on Feb. 7 and 10 a.m. on Feb. 8.

► On Feb. 15, between 4:11 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., the suspects clipped the lock for the side gate of Pings Restaurant, at 83-02 Queens Blvd., but left without taking anything.

► The suspects broke into the Homecrest Pharmacy, at 1826 Gravesneck Road in Sheepshead Bay, and took $100 in cash on March 1 at roughly 2:30 a.m.

► On March 1, 2015 at roughly 4:17 a.m., the suspects broke into Taran Grocery, at 43-10 45th Ave., and stole $1,000 in cash.

► The suspects broke into the Deep Trading Corporation, at 29-10A 30th Ave., and took $10,574 in cash on March 2 at about 2:30 a.m.

► On March 5, between 4:50 a.m. and 5:10 a.m., the suspects broke into the Saba Deli at 232 Underhill Ave. in Brooklyn, and took $80 in cash.

► The suspects removed $6,000 in cash from the Kingston Pharmacy, at 1106 Saint Johns Place in Brooklyn, and took $6,000 in cash on March 5 at roughly 5:40 a.m.

► The suspects broke into the Sharp Rite Beauty Supply, at 1682 E. 13th St. in Sheepshead Bay, on March 9 at roughly 10:00 a.m. and took an empty safe that was later recovered.

► The suspect broke into the rear basement door of Lake Pavilion Restaurant, at 60-15 Main St., on March 10 between 2:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and took $600 in cash and checks.

► On March 13 at roughly 5:50 a.m. the suspects pried open the front door of Franny Lew Wine and Liquor, 198-29 Horace Harding Expressway, but left without anything.

► The suspects took $100 in cash from New Great Wall, at 69-13 Woodside Ave., between 11:45 p.m. on March 13 to 11 a.m. March 14.

► The suspects broke into the Family GuGongTan, at 192-20 Northern Blvd., on March 14 between 1 a.m. to 8 a.m.

► On March 14, the suspects took $520 in cash from Sushi Fusion and Grill, at 105-43 64 Road, between 5:05 a.m. to 5:20 a.m.

► The suspects took $250 in cash from the Super Glatt Kosher Mini Market, at 105-45 64 Road, on March 14 between 5:05 a.m. to 5:20 a.m.

► On March 17, at roughly 3:30 a.m., the suspects pried open the front door of the Elmhurst Pharmacy, at 81-06 Baxter Ave., and took $100 in cash.
