THE BRONX — An NYPD officer was arrested Tuesday for repeatedly raping a 16-year-old girl he met at a church, officials said.

Officer Vladimir Sosa, 38, was charged with third-degree rape, sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child, among other charges, officials said.

Sosa is a six-year veteran of the force and most recently worked in the 46th Precinct, police said.

He was arrested Tuesday about 10 a.m. in the 43rd Precinct, which is located in the southeast section of The Bronx.

Sosa was released and due back in court on April 17, prosecutors said.

The girl was 16 years old at the time of the relationship, police said. The two had been having sex for a year, prosecutors said.
