BROOKLYN — L train service returned to normal after being disrupted during the Tuesday morning rush for a second day in a row due to a rail condition, according to the MTA's website.
The train headaches started at 8:40 a.m. and lasted until about 10 a.m., an MTA spokesman said.
Some Manhattan-bound trains were stopping at Myrtle Avenue, the MTA said. Others were terminating at Bedford Avenue.
All trains were running under the East River on the Brooklyn-bound tracks, the MTA said.
A train operator reported loud noises on the track near the Bedford Avenue station and workers were investigating the situation, an MTA spokesman said. They determined there was a loose joint bar that connects two pieces of rail and the situation was remedied.
The delays come just a day after a broken rail near the Bedford Avenue stop stalled L train service into Manhattan for three hours.
Tuesday's rail trouble was unrelated to the broken rail on Monday, a spokesman said.
