MANHATTAN — A grub-hungry thief with a discerning palate looted three delivery trucks, making off with more than $4000 worth of Cornish Hens, beef tenderloin and seafood, police said.

The three Midtown North burglaries all took place in late February, police said.

In each case, three drivers returned to their trucks only to find the padlock hanging on the door and merchandise missing, the NYPD said. All drivers reported having locked their trucks before leaving the vehicle unattended.

On the morning of Feb. 26, the thief stole $2,300 worth of beef tenderloin and Cornish Hens, police said. On that same morning, the suspect broke into another truck and made off with $1,200 in seafood. A third burglary occurred a day later and the suspect stole $700 worth of beef.

Anyone with information regarding this suspect or any of these incidents is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
