EAST WILLIAMSBURG — Local foodies don't need to leave the 'hood next week for dining deals.

Sixteen new and longtime restaurants along Grand Street are hosting their own version of Restaurant Week next week.

Neighborhood favorites like Le Barricou and Grand Morelos will be offering specials, as will newcomers like Masha and the Bear and Chuvoy's, for the second annual Grand Street Restaurant Week from Feb. 16 to 22. All deals will range between $8 and $30.

The Grand Street BID, an organization focused on supporting the retail corridor, organized the event in light of the growing number of restaurants on the street, said Homer Hill, director of communications.

"We figured a lot of people don’t want to go to Manhattan anymore for their restaurant week," Hill said. "It made sense to do one here."

People may be accustomed to eating at Grand Morelos late night, but during restaurant week locals can get a three-course meal with a choice of appetizers, entrees and dessert for $18.95 at the 727 Grand St. spot.

Diners will also have lunch options, with $10 appetizer and entree deals at The Sandwich Shop and Los Primos Restaurant.
