MOTT HAVEN — A man was arrested in Pennsylvania and charged with attempted murder for stabbing another man multiple times on a 2 train more than a year ago, police said.

William Quinones, 39, was busted in Reading, Pa., after an anonymous tipster called police there to tell them his location. Authorities in Reading then contacted the NYPD, police said.

Quinones stabbed his 25-year-old victim twice in the front torso and twice in the back on Dec. 20, 2013, after approaching him on a crowded southbound 2 train at the East 149th Street/3rd Avenue station, the NYPD said.

He knew the victim, but police did not know how or what the two were fighting about.

"Let's just do this now. Let's fight," police said he told his victim.

He has been charged with attempted murder, felony assault, reckless endangerment, menacing and criminal possession of a weapon, according to police.

The Reading Police Department did not respond to a request for comment.
