NEW YORK CITY — Alternate side parking rules will be suspended until next Monday, to give the city time to clean up the slushy and snow-clogged streets, the Department of Transportation said.
Though Tuesday's winter storm did not dump as much snow as forecasters anticipated, the Sanitation Department needs the rest of the week and the weekend to clear the streets, the DOT said.
Parking meters will still be monitored.
UPDATE: @NYCASP will be suspended Thu 1/29, Fri 1/30, & Sat 1/31 to facilitate snow removal. Meters will remain in effect.
