TRIBECA — Three swirling, orange sculptures will soon find a temporary home in Foley Square's Thomas Paine Park.

The large-scale abstract pieces, created by New York artist Dee Briggs, will be installed in the park this spring, said Jennifer Lantzas, the public art coordinator for the Parks Department.

The whimsical sculptures, crafted from metal, range from about 7 to 10 feet high. The largest piece, made from wavy sheets of orange metal, is 36 feet long.

The pieces will be on display for about eight months.
