INWOOD — A pair of masked thieves robbed a deli and a Chinese restaurant located within blocks of each other last week, making off with hundreds of dollars in cash, police said.

The duo first struck the Titem Deli, at 630 207th St., about 10:30 pm. on Thursday, Jan. 15, entering the store wearing masks and hoodies, police and staff said.

One of the suspects came around the deli's counter holding a gun near his hip and told two employees not to move, said Hashed Ajalan, who was working at the time. The robber then took about $600 from the store's register, and the two suspects fled on foot towards Cooper Street, police and Ajalan said.
