ASTORIA — A local bagel shop is opening a second space in the neighborhood.

New York City Bagel & Coffee House will open another Astoria location this spring at 40-05 Broadway, the company announced on social media this week and its owners confirmed to DNAinfo New York.

Michael Lagudis, who opened the original cafe at 29-08 23rd Ave. with co-owner John Loukas, said the Broadway site will offer the same menu as the first — meaning bagels made daily in-house, an array of cream cheese flavors and coffee from Brooklyn roaster Stone Street.

"It's going to be run the same way," Lagudis said. "We have the same baker, the same roller — it's going to be identical."

He said they're hoping to open their doors on March 25, which will mark the two-year anniversary of the opening of their first location.

"We're trying very hard for that," he said.
