26-Year-Old Bronx Man Dies in First Homicide of 2015

SOUTH BRONX — A 26-year-old man was shot to death in the St. Mary’s Park Houses early Thursday morning in what police said was the first homicide of the year.

Rescuers found Herb Huntley shots to the head and torso in the lobby of 671 Westchester Ave., near East 152nd Street, just before 3 a.m. Thursday, officials said.

He was taken to nearby Lincoln Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Huntley lived around the corner from the shooting in the John Adams Houses on Tinton Avenue.

No suspects have been identified and no arrests have been made, police said.
