MIDTOWN — If you’re dreaming of a white Christmas, best not wake up.

Far from the traditional frosty image, Christmas Day is going to be sunny with balmy temperatures of 46 degrees — 15 degrees higher than last year, according to Accuweather.com.

The warmth can be attributed to the jet stream remaining north of the city, a National Weather Service spokesman said.

Rain is expected throughout much of Christmas Eve, but Santa should have no trouble making the rounds as the wet weather will likely taper off before midnight, meteorologists said.

The record high on Christmas Day in the city is 64 degrees, set in 1982, while the low is minus 1, reached in 1980, according to Accuweather.com.
