SUNNYSIDE — Two suspects were arrested this week for robbing a legally blind 81-year-old man at a Queens bank in October, according to the NYPD.
Thomas Fulwood, 29, and Terrel Blanding, 27, are accused of robbing William Eichhorn — identified by elected officials and local leaders as being legally blind — after the senior withdrew cash from a Chase Bank ATM on Queens Boulevard the morning of Oct. 26, according to criminal complaints.
The men allegedly punched Eichhorn in the face before stealing $100 and his debit card and fleeing, according to police.
Fulwood was arrested Tuesday while Blanding was arrested Wednesday, city records show. Both were charged with two counts of robbery, according to the NYPD.
Fulwood's lawyer did not immediately return a call for comment. A call to Legal Aid, which court documents show is representing Blanding, was not immediately returned Friday.
