BROOKLYN — A driver died Monday after he was thrown from his speeding car as it careened off the Mill Basin Bridge in Canarsie, police said.

The 27-year-old man, whose name was not immediately released, was speeding east along the Belt Parkway in his 2009 Infiniti M-35X when he reached the Mill Basin Bridge just west of Exit 13 and spun out of control, according to the NYPD.

He hit the dividing guardrail on his left, which sent the car careening across the road, where it hit a light pole and another guardrail and finally flew off the bridge, police said.

The driver was ejected in the crash and landed on the bridge, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
