CENTRAL PARK — A 95-year-old man was found dead in some Central Park bushes Thursday morning about nine days after he disappeared from his Yorkville home, sources said.

The man, whose name was not immediately released, was found by a Parks Department worker close to the statue commemorating sculptor Albert Bertel Thorvaldsen inside the park near Fifth Avenue and 96th Street about 9:30 a.m., an NYPD spokeswoman said.

The man, who lived near on 90th Street near East End Avenue, showed no signs of trauma and was pronounced dead on the scene, NYPD and FDNY officials said.

It was not immediately clear how the man died, but investigators don't suspect any criminality, sources said.

Police were still investigating his death.
