WOODSIDE — A man was seriously hurt when a Long Island Rail Road train hit him near the Woodside station Tuesday morning, the MTA said.

The 39-year-old man, whose name was not released, was on the tracks near Woodside Avenue and 61st Street when a Ronkonkoma-bound train struck him about 10:30 a.m., MTA and FDNY officials said.

The man suffered serious leg and head injuries and taken to Queens Hospital where he was listed in stable condition, the MTA said.

The MTA briefly suspended all Long Island-bound service from Penn Station.
