QUEENS — Police are looking for a man who left his shoe behind after trying to rape a woman in Briarwood, the NYPD said Tuesday.

The man approached a 26-year-old woman on Daniels Street on Sept. 24, threw her to the ground and told her he was going to rape her, police said.

The victim fought him off, causing the attacker to flee the scene and leave behind one of his white-and-red Puma sneakers, according to the NYPD.

The suspect is 5-foot-5 and weighs 140 pounds, police said.
