QUEENS — A man flashed a silver automatic pistol in a Jamaica convenience store last week, making off with $2,500, police said.

Video surveillance showed the man holding the gun sideways, never directly at the clerk, as he robbed the Prime Convenience Store at 78-21 Atlantic Ave. about noon last Thursday, according to the NYPD.

The clerk gave him the cash and the suspect fled the store, heading westbound on Atlantic Avenue, police said.

The suspect was described as approximately 25 years old, standing 6-feet tall and weighing approximately 175 pounds, police said. He was wearing a black and gold baseball hat, a black sweatshirt and blue jeans at the time of the robbery, police said.

A store employee could not be reached for comment.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
