Man Steals from Staten Island Gym Lockers, Police Say

TRAVIS — A thief clipped the locks and stole property from inside four lockers in gyms around Staten Island over two months, police said.

In July and August, police said the man went into two L.A. Fitness and one Planet Fitness gyms and cleared out lockers.

The man went into the Planet Fitness at 1525 South Ave. on July 21, around 1:45 p.m. and removed the contents of one locker, police said.

On August 16, the man went into the locker rooms of two LA Fitness locations, at 145 East Service Rd. and 3231 Richmond Ave., and stole the contents inside three lockers, from 8:20 to 9:30 a.m., police said.
