WOODSIDE — A 6-year-old boy with special needs went missing Thursday morning at a school in Queens on the first day back but was found with another class, according to officials.

Schools Chancellor Carmen Fariña said she didn't have details about the incident at P.S. 11, when asked about it at a separate event in The Bronx, but said "it all ended well."

Police said the boy, a student at the school at 54-25 Skillman Ave., disappeared around 9:30 a.m.

A Department of Education spokeswoman said the child was brought to his class line by a parent and may have followed the wrong class.

The school quickly activated the missing child protocol, the spokeswoman said, and the boy was found with another class.

It was not immediately clear how long he was missing for.

Thursday was the first day back at the city's schools. The school declined comment.
