SOHO — Cup, cone or sock?
A Mister Softee truck will be giving away free ice cream this weekend as a promotion for Happy Socks, a shop selling an array of colorful socks and underwear for adults and kids.
The Mister Softee truck, decorated with a polka dot pattern, will be stationed outside the sock store at 436 West Broadway in SoHo from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday and on West 15th Street between Ninth and 10th avenues from noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
People will be able to walk up to the truck and get a free serving of vanilla or chocolate ice cream with rainbow sprinkles, and will also receive a coupon for 2-for-1 socks at Happy Socks.
Happy Socks has previously done promotions with artist David LaChapelle and the iPhone game Candy Crush Saga. The brand is also working on a collaboration with Snoop Dogg that will be revealed on Nov. 1.
