Bank Robber Makes Off With Just $55, Police Say

WESTERLEIGH — A man robbed a Staten Island bank this week but only managed to get away with $55 in cash, police said.

The suspect walked into the TD Bank at 1600 Forest Ave. on Monday about 5:10 p.m., handed the teller a note and demanded money, police said. The teller handed over $55 and and the man fled the bank, police said.

No injuries were reported in the robbery, police said.
