One Person Injured in Bronx Fire

THE BRONX — One person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after a huge fire broke out in The Bronx Tuesday afternoon, an FDNY spokesman said.

The blaze started at about 1:48 p.m. on the sixth floor of 306 East 171st Street, according to the FDNY.

The victim was taken to Lincoln Hospital and is expected to survive, a fire department spokesman said.

The fire was under control by 2:38 p.m.
