Man Robs Woman in Wheelchair on Flushing Street, Police Say

QUEENS — A man snatched a necklace off a 50-year-old woman in a wheelchair in Flushing Monday afternoon, police said.

The woman was sitting in her wheelchair at 142-41 Franklin Ave. near Bowne Street at about 4:15 p.m. on Aug. 11 when the man placed his hand on her shoulder and yanked a chain from the woman’s neck, according to the NYPD. He then fled westbound on the avenue.

The woman was not injured.
