UPPER WEST SIDE — A young Occupy Wall Street demonstrator was found dead in Riverside Park early Saturday morning surrounded by pills and beer cans, police and reports said.
Anne Wiswell, 25, was found inside the park at West 99th Street and Riverside Drive about 6:45 a.m., police said. Emergency responders pronounced the woman dead at the scene, police added.
Wiswell's address was listed as being just blocks away in on Riverside Drive between West 101 and 102nd streets, according to police.
Occupy Wall Street organizers posting on their Facebook Sunday: "Sad news about one of our own. Rest in peace, Anne."
The investigation into her death is still ongoing, police said.
