QUEENS — A man was shot to death after he stabbed a gunman during a fight about drugs near the Woodside Houses Friday night, police said.

Jose Feliciano, 50, was arguing with 30-year-old James Sloane outside 50-30 Broadway, near 50th Street, about 11:15 p.m., when their dispute turned physical, the NYPD said.

Feliciano stabbed Sloane, who drew his gun and shot the other man, police said.

Both were taken to Elmhurst Hospital where Feliciano was pronounced dead and Sloane was listed in stable condition, police said.

Sloane was arrested on charges of murder, weapon possession and tampering with evidence, according to the NYPD. A spokesman did not have further information about why he faced the tampering charge.

Sloane, who lived in Flushing, had been arrested more than 20 times before, a police spokesman said.

He was being held at Rikers Island and was due back in court on Aug. 22, jail records show.
