WASHINGTON — Late-night commuters on the A train will have to find alternative ways to get uptown this week, as service on the line will be suspended for planned work.
Service will not be available between 59th and 207th streets after 10 p.m. and resume normal service at 5 a.m. from Monday, July 28, through Friday, August 1, the MTA said. In addition, service on the C train will end earlier each night.
Riders are encouraged to take the 1 train as an alternative, and the MTA will also operate two free shuttle buses. The first will take riders between the A and 1 train stations on Dyckman Street. The other will run along Fort Washington Avenue from 168th Street station, making stops at the 175th, 181st and 190th Street A train stations all night.
