ELMHURST — Police have identified the man who allegedly fired at two police officers during a chase early Saturday morning — and are offering a $12,000 reward for help in his capture.
Cristian Mosquera, 20, allegedly shot at a uniformed sergeant and police officer from the 110th Precinct after they responded to a trespassing call at 93-35 Lamont Ave. around 1:40 a.m. on June 21, according to police.
Mosquera was allegedly chasing another man while holding his gun, and fired at the officers when they told him to drop the firearm, police said.
He missed the officers, who returned fire but did not shoot Mosquera, police said.
Surveillance footage shows Mosquera running away with a gun in his hand. A .22 caliber handgun was found at the scene, police said.
A $12,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
