NEW YORK CITY — Subway riders should plan for additional travel time this weekend because of construction, the MTA said.
Service changes will hit 12 lines, as workers repair tracks and signals.
Here is the breakdown of the changes by line:
1 Line: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, southbound 1 trains will run express between 34th Street and Chambers Street due to track work.
2 Line: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Wakefield-241st Street-bound 2 trains will run express between East 180th Street and Gun Hill Road because of signal modernization.
From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday, and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday, Flatbush Avenue-Brooklyn College-bound 2 trains will run express from 34th Street-Penn Station to Chambers Street due to track work.
4 Line: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Woodlawn-bound 4 trains will skip Fulton Street due to work on the Fulton Center.
5 Line: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, 5 trains will be suspended in both directions between Eastchester-Dyre Avenue and East 180th Street because of signal modernization.
From 5:45 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, and from 7:45 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday, East 180th Street-bound 5 trains will skip Fulton Street due to work on the Fulton Center.
6 Line: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday, Pelham Bay Park-bound 6 trains will run express between Parkchester and Pelham Bay Park due to station repairs at Buhre Avenue and Zerega Avenue.
7 Line: From 2 a.m. Saturday to 4:30 a.m. Monday, 7 trains will be suspended between Times Square-42nd Street and Queensboro Plaza in both directions due to track work. Take the E, F, N, Q, S or free shuttle buses for alternate service.
Q service will be extended to Astoria-Ditmars Boulevard on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., and on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Shuttle buses will operate between Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue and Queensboro Plaza, stopping at at Queensboro Plaza, Queens Plaza, Court Square, Hunters Point Avenue and Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue.
From 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, the last stop on some 7 trains headed toward Queensboro Plaza will be 74th Street-Broadway.
A Line: From 11:45 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Friday through Sunday, and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday, Brooklyn-bound A trains will run express from 59th Street-Columbus Circle to Canal Street due to track work.
From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, A trains are suspended between Ozone Park-Lefferts Boulevard and Rockaway Boulevard due to station repairs at 88th Street and 104th Street. Free shuttle buses will provide alternate service.
Also, through August 2014, Far Rockaway/Lefferts Boulevard-bound A trains will skip 88th Street, and Lefferts Boulevard-bound A trains will skip 104th Street due to station repairs.
C Line: From 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Brooklyn-bound C trains will run express from 59th Street-Columbus Circle to Canal Street due to track work.
E Line: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, E trains will be suspended in both directions between the World Trade Center and West 4th Street due to track work.
F Line: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Coney Island-Stilwell Avenue-bound F trains will skip Sutphin Boulevard, Briarwood-Van Wyck Boulevard and 75th Avenue due to rail work.
From 11:15 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue-bound F trains will be rerouted via the E line from Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Avenue to Fifth Avenue-53rd Street due to Second Avenue subway construction.
From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue-bound F trains will skip Sutphin Boulevard, Briarwood-Van Wyck Boulevard and 75th Avenue due to rail work.
Q Line: From 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Q trains will be extended to Astoria-Ditmars Boulevard due to track work.
S Line: (42 St Shuttle) From 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Monday, the 42nd Street Shuttle will operate overnight.
S Line: (Franklin Avenue Shuttle) From 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 9 p.m. Sunday, the Franklin Avenue Shuttle will operate every 24 minutes due to work on the circuit breaker.
