MANHATTAN — A woman was sexually assaulted in the West Village by a well-dressed man wearing a blazer with a pocket square Monday morning, police said.
The 30-year-old woman, whose name was not released, was walking near Greenwich and Horatio streets about 4:20 a.m. when a man grabbed her and sexually assaulted her, the NYPD said.
He fled and she was taken to a nearby hospital, treated and released, police said.
Police said the attacker was wearing a black blazer, though it appears to be turquoise in surveillance photos they released. He also wore a light-colored dress shirt, black dress pants and black shoes.
He's believed to be between 25 and 35 years old, about 5-foot-6 and approximately 140 pounds, the NYPD said.
