CHELSEA — It's a cottage in the middle of the city.
A 500-square-foot alcove studio in the garden apartment of a European-style carriage house is now on up for rent for $3,650 a month.
The rustic apartment at 113.5 W. 15th St. has barn plank flooring, exposed beams, flagstone walls and two decorative fireplaces.
"It's a little cottage in the city," said Steve Bruman, the Town Real Estate broker who is marketing the apartment. "It's very tranquil."
The tiny pad also comes with a queen-size captain's bed, walk-in closet, north- and south-facing windows and a claw-foot bathtub.
Outside, there's a shared courtyard that's twice the size of the apartment — which Town Real Estate described as an extra "room" during the warmer months — and it comes with use of a gas grill.
Town Real Estate is hosting an open house on Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
