UNIONPORT — This could be the key to a long prison term.

A thief broke into a Bronx building through an open door earlier this month to steal something that his target could have used: Locks, police said.

According to the NYPD, there were no signs of forced entry during the 8:50 a.m. break-in at 2007 Gleason Ave., in Unionport.

Surveillance footage captured him entering the building and leaving with six new door locks, police said.

The suspect then fled to an unknown location. He is described as having a black backpack and wearing glasses, brown pants and a black long-sleeved shirt, police said.
